What is the best diet

What is the best diet... Ketogenic? Low carb? Intermittent fasting...

Ill tell you straight away... they are all the same... they all do the same thing except people have made some more confusing to understand, some make you cut out certain foods and some tell you when you can and cant eat... but the simple fact is they all put you in a calorie deficit.

So why are there so many diet types...?

Its simple... so people can make you believe you need them, so that you put money in their pocket and they will then work out your calories and give you a plan dictating what you can eat, when you can eat and how often... you can do the exact same thing on my website for absolute free...

In short they are creating a plan based on your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) the result from the FREE calorie calculator on my site then making you eat at set times, cut things out etc so you feel you need to interact with them so you think you are getting your monies worth...

BUT when it doesn't work for you because you are making to many restrictions, cutting carbs out, not eating the likes of bread and cheese you give up then try a different diet and spend your money there...

What if I told you its a simple case of working out your TDEE, hitting 1.5 grams of protein per KG of your bodyweight and sticking to it...

You want to make it even more flexible...? times your daily allowance by 7 then you have your net weekly calories... if you stay under by 100 calories mon - thurs you then have 400 extra calories to play with at the weekend... eat that Camembert and bread, have them glasses of wine and enjoy yourself...

But what if I go over my calories on & tues have I messed it up? NO!!! lets say you go over by 200 on both mon & tues, that only 400 cals... there is 5 day left of the week... just take 100 calories off per day (you won't even notice it) and by the end of the week you are back in a deficit...

ITS SIMPLE... ITS SCIENCE... ITS PROVEN

there is too many knobs in the fitness industry trying to say one diet is better than the other... so rather than take up intermittent fasting and only allowing 8 hours to eat then being hungry in the evening where you are most likely to snack, or cutting out pasta, crisps and alcohol on the ketogenic plan or finally having slimming world sally telling you that a mushed banana is 3 syns but a whole banana is zero syns (confusing the fuck out of you)... Ignore the bellends that try to shade you onto their plan and stick to a plan that works for you...

It may be one of the above... they all do the same and put you in a deficit but you should make that choice based on your decision, liking and patterns... not anyone else's... especially slimming world sally!!!

So in summary... they all do the same thing... some make it more confusing so you have to rely on them and keep paying for it... a great business model but a dickish one... so find what suits you, if basic calorie counting it is then happy days... that way you can eat what you want so long as you hit your protein target and stick to your deficit...

The 2 most important things I want you to remember is Calorie intake & Protein... get them both right and you will be onto a winner.
